What We've

Observed

Food insecurity has long been a challenge in many urban communities, where families and individuals often struggle to access enough nutritious meals. At the same time, there is also a deep need for the hope, love, and peace that Jesus brings. We felt called to be the hands and feet of Christ by reaching people where they are—right in their homes. What better way to show His love than by providing free food to those who truly need it? By meeting this basic need, we not only help relieve hunger but also open the door to meaningful relationships, heartfelt conversations, and the opportunity to offer hope through prayer and spiritual encouragement.

Actions

We Take

We provide each family with approximately a week's worth of food to help ease the strain on their grocery budget and ensure they have access to nutritious meals. To make this possible, we collaborate with local supermarkets, collecting food donations twice a week to keep our supply stocked. Additionally, we purchase food from the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York, where we take advantage of special programs and grants that allow us to buy food at a lower cost. Through these partnerships and resources, we are able to serve our community more effectively, ensuring that families facing food insecurity receive the support they need.

Impact

We Make

Through our efforts, we have witnessed incredible transformations—prayers have been answered, lives have been changed, and many hearts have been drawn closer to Jesus. The impact of our work goes beyond just meeting physical needs; it has opened doors for deeper spiritual connections. As of now, at least five families who originally came to us for food assistance have since become valued members of our church community. What started as a simple act of providing food has grown into lasting relationships, where individuals and families have found faith, hope, and a supportive church family to walk alongside them in their journey with Christ.
