Founded in 1987 and revitalized in 1995, the organization was started by Dave and Donna Heinrich. In 1995, Peter joined as Executive Director. The mission is to reach marginalized, alienated, and skeptical young adults—those who are not attending church—by engaging both the under-churched and the over-churched.
• Operates an art co-op space at below-market value
• Hosts festivals and provides art therapy
• Established transitional homes for mothers who were trafficked or sexually abused
• Runs a drop-in center offering essential services, including showers
• Conducts homeless outreach in South Minneapolis, the area most affected by the George Floyd riots, with the city's highest immigrant and homeless populations
• Supported 33 Ukrainian refugees
• First to introduce the Alpha program to Minnesota
• Many people return after receiving support
• Provided $15 million worth of food since 2020
• Serves 500–700 families weekly through the food program
